Lucia Davis-Raiford
Lucia Davis-Raiford currently serves as President & CEO of the Carrie Meek Foundation. Prior to working at the Foundation, Lucia was the Director of Miami-Dade County’s Community Action and Human Services Department. She was also Founding Director of the Domestic Violence Unit at New York City’s Police Department. Her past board positions include The Carrie Meek Foundation and the Women’s Fund of Miami Dade.

Matt Beatty
Matthew is vice president and chief operating officer at The Carrie Meek Foundation, the private philanthropic foundation advancing Congresswoman Meek’s legacy to build civically engaged, well-resourced and resilient communities. In the new role, Matthew creates and implements a strategic agenda to fulfil the Foundation’s mission: improve the lives of Miami-Dade County residents through Education, Housing, Health, and Economic Development, with a focus on Black, Brown and underserved communities. He was previously the senior director of communications and engagement at The Miami Foundation, where he helped lead the launch and development of Give Miami Day, one of the largest charitable giving events in the Southeast U.S.
A native Miamian, Matthew attended The Cushman School, where he now serves on the board of trustees, Ransom Everglades School, and earned his B.S. in management and M.B.A. in marketing at Florida A&M University. He was named one of South Florida’s 40 Under 40 Black Leaders of Tomorrow by Legacy magazine of the Miami Herald and included in the Best of Miami: Unsung Heroes by Miami Today. Matthew was also selected to Class V and the Board of Governors for Leadership Florida Connect, the premier statewide program for educating, engaging and inspiring Florida’s top emerging leaders.

Sommer Walker
Sommer Walker-Davis is a communications professional with over 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors. As former Deputy Communications Director for Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, Sommer was responsible for establishing Congresswoman Wilson’s social media presence, developing marketing and promotional collateral, creating web content, and drafting press releases. Additionally, Sommer has served as Associate Publisher of The Gospel Truth Magazine for 12 years. During her time as Associate Publisher she led the transition of the publication from newsprint to magazine format in 2008, increasing readership by 40%. During her time as a communications professional, Sommer has served as a Public Information Officer with Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department and later established her own marketing and communications company, Synergy Marketing & Outreach. She has developed skills in graphic design, video production and social media management, broadening her ability to engage various audiences and stakeholders across media platforms. She currently serves as Communications Director for The Carrie Meek Foundation, a private foundation advancing Congresswoman Meek’s work through grantmaking, civic engagement, and community development in historically underserved communities. She is a passionate professional who considers it an honor to work in spaces that improve the quality of life for residents throughout Miami-Dade County, FL.

Allie Martinez, MBA
Allie Martinez, MBA, is a financial strategist and CFO of The Carrie Meek Foundation. With expertise in financial management, budgeting, and grants, she has managed budgets exceeding $90M. Her career spans government, healthcare, and non-profits, delivering impactful results. Outside work, she enjoys time with her teenage son, gardening, reading, and traveling.
Nicola Brusatin
Sustainability & Public Policy
Nicola Brusatin
Nicola Brusatin is a sustainability and public policy professional with seven years of experience in nonprofit management, grant management, government relations, and international affairs. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a background in Public Administration, bringing a strategic approach to advancing equity, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. Nicola has worked with the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C., and various NGOs, bridging local action with global perspectives. Her expertise spans policy development, program management, and multi-stakeholder engagement, with a strong track record of delivering impactful projects in complex, multicultural environments.
Currently serving as Program Manager at The Carrie Meek Foundation in Miami, Nicola leads initiatives that uplift historically underserved communities through education, economic development, and social equity. She is deeply committed to designing solutions that address urgent societal challenges while promoting long-term sustainability. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, Nicola thrives at the intersection of strategy, collaboration, and advocacy, consistently seeking opportunities to drive meaningful change and inspire others toward collective impact.
Ryan Aldophe
IT Management & Operations
Ryan Aldophe
Ryan Aldophe serves in a multifaceted role at The Carrie Meek Foundation, combining expertise in data science, IT management, and operational oversight. Formerly the Facilities Director, he now applies his background in machine learning and technology to support organizational goals, managing responsibilities that include infrastructure, information systems, and technical project management.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning, Ryan brings a unique perspective that bridges hands-on technical skills with advanced analytics. His professional experience includes robotics, construction as a licensed electrical contractor, and extensive volunteer work in the community, from serving unhoused residents to crisis response. In addition, he serves as a professor of Artificial Intelligence at Miami Dade College’s North Campus, where he teaches and inspires the next generation of innovators.
Outside of work, Ryan is a leader in his church community and enjoys video games, poetry, art, and the sciences. He aspires to contribute to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and help establish a science museum at MDC North Campus, fostering curiosity and discovery for future generations.
Sue Goldstein
Facility Management
Sue Goldstein
Sue has been with The Carrie Meek Foundation since February 2023. She provides support to everyone, assists with supervising the AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers, assists with billing and facility management, as well as several other responsibilities. Previously, Sue was in the staffing industry for 37 years with Creative Staffing. She monitored and ran day-to-day operations of service and sales staff including orders, quality control, training and management of company-wide service personnel. Sue holds a degree from the University of Miami and she is a true Hurricane!
